Here's my breakdown the revolutionary track 'Your Love' at Brighton Music Conference 2024. In this session, I used Ableton Live 12 and Push 3 to dissect the track, uncovering the layers and techniques that Knuckles and Principle used to create this iconic house music sound.

Imagine having a portable Rhodes in your laptop. If only I'd had this plugin back in the early-90's instead of having to lug my Mk1 Stage 88 down the stairs at Bar Rumba every Monday evening for the 'That's How It Is' sessions.

I fell in love with Robert Owen's voice when I first heard the Frankie Knuckles track 'Tears' and the amazing songs he made withmy hero Larry Heard. So I jumped at the chance to deconstruct a track that Robert had written and sung on, and 'Mine To Give' by Photek seemed the perfect choice. I bought the 12" when it came out in 2001 from the legendary Rhythm Records in Camden, and loved its dubby 909 deep house retro sound.
