SKI OAKENFULL NEWSLETTER #1 (Monday 10th October 2000)........

Attention - SKI broadcast!

Hi there, this is me, and I thought I'd drop you a line to let you know waaaassssupppp.....

I've just got back from a few LIVE gigs in France and Germany..

This has included two gigs in PARIS (@THE WAX - broadcast live on Radio FG, and @LA SCALA - recorded for PARIS PREMIERE cable channel), a Live performance of 'Undercover' on VIVA TV in KOLN, and two gigs in NANCY and LYON (broadcast live on NRG radio) for the 'Electro-Deluxe' compilation. Oh yeah, and this was all kicked off with a one-off night in HONG KONG playing solo with Andrea Parker, Howie B and Towa Tei!!!!

So i've got myself out of the studio and on the road! -at the moment the line-up includes JIM CARMICHAEL on electronic/acoustic drums, and FRANCIS HYLTON on electric/synth bass, and me on keys! - and sometimes ROSE SMITH on vocals...

ALBUM (Life Changes)

So, the ALBUM (CD & Vinyl) is finally out NOW in France (COLUMBIA) and Japan (EPIC)...

This is soon to be followed with releases around the rest of Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal etc) at the end of OCTOBER. (EPIC or COLUMBIA).

It will see a UK release on INCredible at the start of next year.

And AUSTRALIA on 'CREATIVE VIBES' at some point!!!

It should be available on Import pretty much everywhere else (ie USA)

SINGLES

**FIFTHS

Has been available for a couple of months now on Vinyl with the classic JAZZANOVA mix. (Distributed through PP Sales)

It is about to be released on CD in Germany.

PASCAL FEOS has also done a wicked remix, and this will be released on INCredible in the next couple of weeks as a new 12" vinyl. (Distributed through WHITE NOISE)

The French director 'Jean-Francois Julien' also made a Promo video for FIFTHS which is definitely worth checking out if you haven't already!!

**UNDERCOVER

Has just been released as single no2 on Vinyl - it includes a classic 'SILICONE SOUL' remix and a fantastic 'PHUNKMASTER' mix - French 2Step!!! (Again, distributed through PP Sales)

I will let you know about all the future releases as they come up - maybe even some live tracks on the internet!!

FORTHCOMING PROJECTS

I'm in the middle of working on a brand new track for the next 'TRANSATLANTIC AUDIO' compilation album on DYNAMITE JOINT records.

I'm also completely over-hauling PRIMAUDIAL.COM to include alot more mp3 stuff

And thats it for the moment!

Hopefully I will see you at a SKI gig very soon....

NEWS!! (1 MAY 2000)

'FIFTHS' release date has been set for 15 May 2000! It will be available on 12" vinyl and limited CD single. It will contain the original lp mix, and also the JAZZANOVA remix. There will also be a promo video (which was shot last week with french director Jean Francois Julian) to accompany the track. It is currently being edited.

The next single to be released (no date set yet) will be 'UNDERCOVER', and there will be a remix by SILICON SOUL.

I have just completed a set of remixes for the track 'WHERE DID THE LOVE GO?'. The remix comes in two parts, complete with a radio edit aswell! This will be the third track to be released (after UNDERCOVER)

A gig is about to be confirmed in Hong Kong for August, so if you will be in the area around that time, send me an email and i will put you on the guest list!!

Yes, for the last 8 months I locked myself in Primaudial Studios to make my first solo album! Its been full-on, but as i'm writing this, i've only got two more tracks to mix, and then it's in the bag. I'm feeling very excited about the album, and have been lucky enough to work with some wicked artists and musicians. This is the track listing (not in the right order yet)....

The album will hopefully see a release around late summer if everything goes to plan.

As the schedule becomes clearer, I will provide more detailed information about all forthcoming releases and gigs (yes, there will be some!)
